Lawson Dean is Here!!!!

Jenn, Josh and Ashlynn welcomed little Lawson Dean Komp into this world yesterday morning. He was born just after 8:00AM at 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 21 inches long!

Congrats guys and welcome Lawson!

Happy 2nd Birthday Conley

I can't believe it...our little man is two! Almost....almost makes me want another adorable little guy. HA...i'm not crazy...no way can i handle three Smith boys! Major kudos to my mother-in-law for taking on that challenge!!!!!! Photos of Conley's Birthday party to follow.

Oh...and my fabulous friend Jenn is having her little man Lawson today! Conley will have a buddy two years younger who he gets to share his birthday with in a couple years!!! :) Our thoughts go out to Jenn, Josh and Ashlynn with the welcoming and adjusting to the addition of Lawson Dean Komp to your family! Love you guys!!!!

Conley's First Trip to the ER

Kaiden and I were on a date yesterday afternoon at a wedding reception for my dear friend Billy. While we were gone Conley took a little spill over some train tracks at Grandma and Grandpa Fitz's. Everything seemed fine until they went to visit Great Grandma and Granpa Fitz and Grandpa went to pull Conley up. Conley cried and kept holding his poor little arm. Kaiden and I got back to the house, i checked Conley out and decided to take him to ER vs. Urgent Care. If it was broke then the Urgent Care wouldn't be able to Xray the injury, so i went for ER to ensure all was OK.

Two hours in the ER with a toddler and we found out the little man twisted his arm up and got Nursemaid's Elbow (a.k.a. Radial head subluxation). This is a common injury to small childrens elbows. Tiny ligaments normaly help hold the elbow together. One of them slipped in between Conley's upper and lower arm bones as they were pulled slighted apart. As the bones came back together, the ligament got stuck. The injury happens if you pull a child's hand with the arm in just the right position.

A little orange flavored acetaminophen to help with the pain and then the doc did a simple little manuever and pop, all was better. Well...better after the cries subsided. The doc came back in to the room to check on Conley and I told him all is good. We're back to giving high fives!!!

Little man crashed around 10:00PM and was up bright and early at 5:30AM this morning. I'm just glad he's better and there was no break!

Birthday Celebration

Last Tuesday Chris and I celebrated our birthdays...we will let you guess our ages! I wasn't in the mood to celebrated my birthday this year, but my family made sure to remind me of how old I am and how much love and support I have from them. I LOVE family get togethers. Always a great reminder of where you come from and how i want my boys raised.

Eventful Weekend

Busy busy weekend....

• Soccer class Saturday morning at 9:20AM
• Boys to Grandma & Grandpa Fitz's
• Mommy back to the house for a marathon of house painting (11AM to 9:00PM)
• Sunday morning touch up
• Over to Grandma & Grandpa's to pick up the boys.
• Put together a "giant" GeoTrax
• Played with Kaiden for THREE HOURS with the GeoTrax
• Went to Jerod & Maria's to hang out during the Superbowl, eat and let the boys have a fun afternoon of playing.
