Christmas in Bend

After Christmas we headed Bend, Oregon to visit with my father-in-law at his new casa.  We had a great time playing in the snow, building snowmen, getting in snowball fights, sledding and so much more.  Enjoy the photos and additional comments.

Kaiden and I built three snowmen to represent Conley, Kaiden and Papa Smitty

It is VERY rare for me to get a photo of the boys together.  Now a days they both smile for me when I ask and I get wonderful photos like you see.  Love it :)  Less editting time for me!!
We took Kaiden ice skating and he LOVED it.  He was skating, running, jumping and twirling around all on his own.  We went a 2nd day with the four of us...funniest thing ever!  Conley loved and hated it and Kaiden...well he decided to pretend like he was a hockey player and give body checks any chance he got.

More to Come

Many more photos will be posted throughout the weekend.  With two days left of my week vacation, photos to edit and post, house to organize and work to do...i'm only one person :)

Oh...one exciting announcement....Conley has been enjoying being closer to his brother so they're now room buddies!  Project #1 for 2011...Convert Conley's bedroom into a playroom.  You can imagine how excited I am and why this is project #1 for the year :)

AND....a very belated engagement announcement!!!!!!!
Jake and Catherine (Cat) got engaged a few days before Christmas.  CONGRATS GUYS!!!   Big things happening in 2011 for the Smith family....two engagements, two weddings, growing family!  So exciting!!!!!

Boys Gifts To One Another

The boys enjoyed picking out gifts for eachother this year.  Yes...we spent too much money, but they were items we wanted to get the boys as well, so we said why not :)  Next year their budget will be reduced!!

I want to argue with the makers of the Tranformer Bumblebee...NO stinking way can a 5+ year old transform this toy if a 35 year old was struggling with the task.  Seriously!!!!

And Pappa....if you read this...Kaiden has been watching Transformers any chance we will let him.  He's hooked!!!!  He walks around quoting the old school cartoon first season...it's pretty funny!

Christmas with Grammy & Bompie

A few days before Christmas we got together as a family with my my mother-in-law side of the family.  We all had a wonderful time playing games, eating and relaxing.  Just before the kids were put down we opened gifts and found that Grammy & Bompie purchased us a XBOX Kinect system.  Matt lit up and I don't think I've seen him open anything faster.  The family took turns trying the game out....lots of good laughs were shared.  Thanks Grammy & Bompie!!

Yep...Monopoly was pulled out!  I can't remember the last time we played!!  I take that back...all games were last played prior to the kids...LOL

Conley LOVES walking around everywhere with this play knife that came with a Melissa & Doug cookie play set earlier this year.  Silly kid!!!!

XBOX Kinect in action.  UM...the next morning Cat (soon to be sister-in-law) wasn't able to get out of bed.  The most fit person i know was taken out by the Kinect. :)
