Conley's Birthday Party

We celebrated Conman's birthday with friends and family at Out of this World Pizza in Hillsboro. If you have yet to visit OWP and have kids of walking/climbing age and bigger...you need to check it out!!!!

My boys run around for hours, never stopping for food or drink. They LOVE it there!

Conley's 2nd Birthday

I am soooo far behind on family photo post updates!!! Yes....going back over one month of posts so continue to stay tuned all week for new updates.

For Conman's 2nd birthday we spent a fun morning at the house with his favorite breakfast, blueberry pancakes, and then move on to an adventure at Omsi. We had yet to take the boys there so we were excited to see what it would be like. Good thing it was Matt and I with the boys. We kept switching kids as they went from one thing to the next. It was fun, but man we were tired after the two plus our visit.

That evening we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Fitz at Red Robin to celebrate the little guys big day. I wish I could say dinner was fun, but fun doesn't begin to describe dinner. Kaiden was SUPER tired and wasn't feeling to hot. He layed next to me the entire time we were there and it wasn't until the last five minutes when he finally perked up. Conley on the other hand didn't want to sit. Oh no...he was a big boy and wanted to run throughout the restuarant. Yes...good times!

So...now we have a two year old and 3.5 year old...wow. It just seems like yesterday we were at the hospital having both of them!
Kaiden helped me make this sign with my cricket!

Last Nights Story

Last night as I laid down with Kaiden to help him say his prayers and fall alseep, he decided to share with me his evening routine. Here is how the conversation went:

Me: Kaiden...what are you doing?
Kaiden: Mom, i'm just relaxing my eyes!

Me: OK, but what are you doing with your hand?
Kaiden: I'm just mixing lemonade and gatorade in my mouth, spitting it on my hand and then wiping it on my eyes. It's so relaxing and calming mom...you should do it.

Me: What?
Kaiden: Yeah mom, it's my recipe. Don't you like it?

Me: Yes Kaiden, it sounds wonderful and I would like to try it, but how about another night.
Kaiden: OK...we will try it tomorrow!

Seriously...where does this kid think up this stuff! He cracks me up!!!!! Oh and FYI...there was no lemonade or gatorade in his mouth....it was good'ol fashion spit!

Another Boys Being Boys Moment

Both boys are fighting a cold. Actually all three of the Smith boys are fighting colds, but i'm only refering to Kaiden and Conley. Kaiden has stayed pretty chipper, but Conley has been a different story. Not sleeping, very needy, a nose that won't stop running , etc. Despite his mood swings and as always, when he's on he's on. With that in mind, the boys have had some good moments today. These good moments for them were windows of what the future holds.

First Window - Wrestling
Oh yes, the boys play together all the time, but I have yet to actually see them wrestle until today. I think I need another year or at least six months to prepare myself for that one. It was odd...I felt like i needed to break them up, but then I realized they were having fun.

Second Window - Trees
I'm not sure if Matt has allowed the boys to climb the trees in the backyard, but today when i was working in the yard they were trying. Once again, another boy thing mom is just not ready for.

Seriously, how and when does one ever get use to their boys being boys. As they get older i let go, but then i also find myself holding on. Oh man...the trouble i'm in for.
