Some Birthday Fun

In celebration of Conley's birthday, we took a trip to the Portland Children's Museum yesterday afternoon. The museum was a bit overwhelming for both boys, especially Conley, but they both still had a great time. It's a great place to go on a rainy or cold day if you're kids are old enough to walk around and explore.

The boys started the morning out with some birthday fun!

Kaiden and Conley got into being on stage and singing at the microphone. No surprise since both try to steal the stage from one another at home...ha!

Conley LOVED the water exhibit! Although we never actually went inside, he was VERY happy playing in the little water feature at the very front of the exhibit.
Matt showing Conley how to smell the flowers.
After visiting Bob the Builder, Kaiden was very excited to put on a hard hat and gloves and get to work. On our way out, Kaiden had a conversation with me on how he wants to build a chair, table, etc. It was a very serious conversation!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Conley Fitzgerald Smith!

We can't believe it! One year ago we were at the hospital at 5:30AM getting prepped for the arrival of Conley. We have been so blessed and couldn't be happier with how much this little man has brought to our family. Watching Kaiden and Conley interact together brings so much joy to our hearts and home.

Below is a little slide show i quickly put together with a new program tool i'm trying out. Hope you enjoy the many faces of Conman!

Happy Birthday Chub Chub!

Conley's First Birthday Party

Sunday afternoon the Fitzgerald and Smith family got together to celebrate Conley turning one this Thursday! We had a wonderful Lasagna dinner (made by Matt) and the best garlic rolls in town (Thank you Wall Street Pizza)!
After dinner we let our tummy's settle and opened Conley's gifts. Everyone spoiled our little man!!!! Of course Conley wasn't the least bit interested in opening gifts. Instead Kaiden wanted to check out each gift and claim it as his own. Cousin Ari got into the mix as well and wanted to steal a toy that he has at his home and Conley's new phone. Conley on the other hand was happy playing with his purple balloon!
After gifts it was cake time! It took some time, but Conley eventually got a little dirty and dug his hands into the cake. The rest of us devoured the yummy frog cake we had made at Beaverton Bakery. YUMMY!
Thank you to our families for celebrating with us!
Uncle Jake and Cat...we're sorry you were under the weather and hope you're feeling better soon! Uncle Dave and Callie...we missed you guys tons and hope to see you soon!

Have You Ever Worked From Home With Little Ones Around?

If you've ever tried working from home while having two young children then these photos might look familiar. Mind you...today was a good day. Minus about two hours when i was high stressed and on the phone with my boss trying to go over some work issues.
I don't care what anyone says...working from home with little kids is HARD WORK!! Sure...there are good days and bad, but regardless it's hard. You're pulled in every direction because everyone wants you and wants you NOW!
Anyways...I've vented enough on that subject. Here are some funny photos of how quickly my two little guys can destroy the house in a matter of 30 minutes!

The Kitchen
No time to clean up, just pull stuff out and quickly pop it in the microwave. This was just after breakfast. OH...did i say i rarely feed myself on these days b/c I'm tending to two little mouths and forget to take care of myself! LOL

TV Time
I have never been a fan of sitting and letting my kids watch TV. However...now that Kaiden is old enough...i LOVE the TV on these days! I feel terrible, but he does get all the TV he wants so that mommy can get work done.

You're missing the fact that I took Kaidens Potterybarn chair out of the room and picked up all of the toddler snacks Conley had tossed all over the ground. Oh and the 50+ Kix that were tossed over and over again as well! Again...LOL!

My savior for getting through the day!

Conley's First Haircut

After work today, Matt and the boys met me so we could finally get Conley's first haircut. He was so good! No tears were shed during the experience!!!!!! This was the complete opposite of just about every haircut Kaiden has received.

Our little man has grown up so quickly. It's hard to believe that he turns one next week!!!
